AuctionCalc — Max Bid Side Panel
Install the extension from the Chrome Web Store, open a lot on a supported auction site, then click the AuctionCalc icon to open the side panel. On the sites listed below the vehicle, damage, location and current bid are read from the page automatically.
On these four the panel reads the lot the moment you open it, with no extra click:
Open the side panel on any other supported listing and it reads that page too. Because clicking the AuctionCalc icon is what opens the panel, that single click is also what grants the extension permission to read the page you are on — so there is nothing extra to allow and no prompt to answer.
Auction sites: Carvana ADESA, America’s Auto Auction, GSA Auctions, GovDeals, AutoNation Auto Auctions, eBay Motors, Mecum, Barrett-Jackson, Bring a Trailer, Cars & Bids, ProgiPix, EBlock, A Better Bid, Abrams, Stark, Collector Car Canada, The Great Northern Auction, North Toronto Auction, First Choice Auto Salvage, and Auction Utopia — along with every other auction running on HiBid.
Retail sites: CarGurus, AutoTrader, Cars.com, CarMax, Carvana, TrueCar, Driveway, AutoNation, CarsDirect, Kelley Blue Book, Kijiji, Clutch, AutoHebdo, AutoTempest, Carpages, Used.ca, Canada Drives, Craigslist and Facebook Marketplace.
Open a single listing rather than a search results grid — the reader needs one vehicle to look at.
You can pick your auction house in the panel even when the extension cannot read that site’s pages. Enter the lot figures yourself and the correct fee structure is applied.
The full calculator on this site covers more houses again — see the US calculator and the Canadian calculator.
On CarGurus, AutoTrader and Cars.com (United States and Canada), the extension works out what a retail listing really costs out the door: the asking price plus the dealer’s documentation fee, sales tax, title and registration, less your trade-in, with monthly payment and total interest if you finance it.
This calculator is free and requires no AuctionCalc account. Install the extension, open a listing, and use it.
Three things to check, in order:
If it still will not read, the auction site has probably changed its page layout. Tell us the site and the lot number and we will update the reader.
It depends which half you are using.
The extension uses the same account as this website. If it will not connect, sign in at auctioncalc.co/login first, then reopen the panel.
Please include the auction or retail site, the lot or listing number, what you expected, and what you saw. A screenshot of the side panel helps a great deal. Send it through Contact Us.
Extensions for Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox and Apple Safari are in development. They are not available yet and no release date is committed.

Fee schedules are reproduced from each platform’s published rates and are not guaranteed to be current. Manheim fees are editable because Manheim does not publish a public schedule — enter the rates your account actually receives. Sales tax is estimated using each state’s or province’s headline rate; the rate that applies to you depends on where the vehicle is registered. Always confirm current fees and taxes with the platform and the branch before you bid.
