Clear, fair terms for trials, subscriptions, and one-time purchases — so you always know where you stand.
AuctionCalc ("AuctionCalc," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to clear, fair billing. This Refund Policy explains how refunds work across our free calculator, the 7-Day Free Trial, our monthly and yearly subscription plans (Starter, Builder, and Pro), our one-time 3-Year Enterprise plan, and one-time Manual VIN Lookup packages. It applies to all purchases made through auctioncalc.co.
The auction bid calculator itself — VIN decoding, fee breakdowns, max bid ceiling, and saved calculation history — is free to use and requires no payment or sign-up. Nothing in this policy applies until you choose to start a paid subscription or purchase a Manual VIN Lookup package.
Builder-tier subscriptions include a 7-day free trial. You will not be charged during your trial period, and you may cancel at any time before the trial ends at no cost. If you don't cancel before the trial ends, your subscription automatically converts to a paid Builder plan and your saved payment method is charged the applicable monthly or yearly rate.
Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period (monthly or yearly) until cancelled. Outside of the 7-day guarantee above, charges for renewal periods are non-refundable, including partial months or years if you cancel mid-cycle. When you cancel, you keep access through the end of the period you already paid for — we don't refund the unused portion, and we don't cut off access early either.
Manual VIN Lookup packages ($9 for 5 VINs, $19 for 15 VINs) are one-time purchases, not subscriptions. Because each lookup draws on real-time third-party data as soon as it runs, packages are refundable only if entirely unused, and only within 7 days of purchase. Once any VIN in a package has been looked up, that package is no longer eligible for a refund.
The Enterprise plan is a single, one-time payment that grants Pro-tier access for a fixed 3-year term — it is not a recurring subscription and does not renew or bill automatically. Enterprise purchases are refundable in full within 14 days of purchase, provided the account has not made active use of Pro-tier features (VIN lookups, Deal Hunter, or team seats) beyond light testing. After 14 days, Enterprise payments are non-refundable, though your 3-year access term continues in full regardless of how much of it you use. At the end of the 3-year term, access reverts to the free calculator unless you choose to renew.
You can upgrade or downgrade between Starter, Builder, and Pro at any time from your account settings. Upgrades take effect immediately and are billed on a prorated basis for the remainder of your current cycle. Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing cycle — we don't issue partial refunds for the difference when you downgrade mid-cycle.
Email billing@auctioncalc.co from the address on your account with your order date and the reason for your request. We aim to respond within 1–2 business days. Eligible refunds are issued to your original payment method.
Once approved, refunds are typically processed within 5–10 business days, though your bank or card issuer may take additional time to post the credit to your account.
We'd rather resolve a billing issue directly — please reach out before filing a chargeback with your bank or card issuer. Unauthorized chargebacks may result in a temporary suspension of your account while the dispute is investigated.
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of AuctionCalc after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Trials, billing, and refunds — explained.
Every auction you walk into without this, you're at a disadvantage.
Start your 7-day Builder trial — full access to VIN batch lookups, the fee calculator, and saved deal history.
Start Your7-Day TrialAuctionCalc is a purpose-built salvage auction calculator for the US used-car market. If you're bidding on repairable vehicles at Manheim, Copart, or IAAI auctions anywhere in the country, AuctionCalc works out your true acquisition cost in US dollars — combining parts sourced from suppliers like Car-Part.com and eBay.com, estimated body-shop labor, each platform's buyer-fee schedule, state sales tax, and transport back to your shop. The result is your max bid ceiling: the highest amount you can pay at auction and still hit your target profit.
Unlike a generic bid calculator, AuctionCalc applies damage- and theft-history adjustments to retail value, accounts for resale-certificate sales-tax exemptions that most licensed dealers qualify for, and decodes your VIN to auto-fill year, make, and model in seconds. Use it as your Manheim fee calculator, Copart fee calculator, IAAI fee calculator, and car-flipping profit estimator — all in USD, built for dealers and rebuilders bidding anywhere in the US.
